Hu Lin – Redemptio Codex
Designed by renowned Chinese knife artist Hu Lin, often referred to by collectors as “the Leonardo da Vinci of knives,” the Redemptio Codex is a remarkable fusion of art, mechanics, and craftsmanship. Known for his innovative structures and imaginative designs, Hu Lin has earned recognition among collectors worldwide. His groundbreaking creation, Genesis, is widely regarded as one of the most influential modern knife designs to emerge from China.
Redemptio Codex represents Hu Lin’s pursuit of artistic perfection. The blade is crafted from premium Swedish Damacore steel, its polished surface revealing dramatic layered patterns reminiscent of sacred light traced by an angel’s wings.
The blade features bold, aggressive lines and perfectly balanced proportions, giving it a powerful and commanding presence. Engraved within the fuller is the ancient Latin motto:
“Nemo me impune lacessit.”
Translated as “No one attacks me with impunity,” this timeless phrase symbolizes strength, honor, and the resolve to stand against any challenge.
Cross motifs on the pivot and pommel serve as spiritual symbols, tying the entire composition together. More than a knife, the Redemptio Codex is a collectible work of art that embodies faith, mythology, and extraordinary craftsmanship.
